What's new at DataPacket in Q1 2026?

Hello there!
Q1 2026 brought another wave of growth across the DataPacket platform, network, and global infrastructure. It's time to take a look at the most important news and improvements that happened this quarter.
So, what's new?
TL;DR
- Four new locations announced, Full Shield in Seoul and Lisbon & more capacity across every region
- iPXE server boot closed beta launches, enabling custom provisioning support & easier debugging
- Four new 5th Gen AMD EPYC CPUs, plus NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell added
- Forward Email case study and a ClickHouse technical series published on the blog
Network & global coverage
As per usual, in Q1 2026 our coverage got wider and the network underneath it got denser. Full Shield expanded to Seoul and Lisbon, while four new locations – Barcelona, Calgary, Helsinki, and Perth – moved into the pre-order stage. If you are interested in deploying servers in those locations, contact your account manager, or use the Server deployment page in your client panel.

New peerings
On the interconnection side, the quarter added capacity across every region. See the chart below:

All in all, that's an extra 10.1 Tbps added in the last three months. We'll keep expanding our network to give your workloads even a stronger foundation as your infrastructure grows in the years ahead.
iPXE server boot: a closed beta
This quarter’s most practical tested platform feature was iPXE server boot. It allows you to boot a server using a custom iPXE script, which is ideal for custom provisioning solutions and also suitable for debugging (e.g., boot SystemRescue, see this script).

The iPXE boot scripts can be managed in the client panel → Provisioning settings section of your account – where you can add, view, update or remove the scripts as well.
You can learn more about iPXE server boot here:
Note: This feature is currently in a closed beta. If you'd like to participate before the launch, let our COO Simon know (e.g., through this email) and share a bit about your planned iPXE scripts use case. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hardware refresh
Four 5th Gen AMD EPYC models
In January and February, we added four new Zen 5 AMD EPYC CPUs, replacing earlier Zen 3 and Zen 4 models. You can now configure dedicated servers with the following processors:
With these new additions, you get better performance and efficiency for your workloads on the latest architecture. You can always browse all available hardware configurations on our Hardware page.
GPUs for inference at the edge
Our servers with NVIDIA L4 are built for efficient LLM and vision inference, embeddings and RAG pipelines, and video transcoding. While the L4 is a practical choice for lightweight workloads, we also introduced the NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell in multiple locations for heavier workloads. It is ideal for single-GPU inference and offers excellent performance per dollar.
You can take advantage of our reduced GPU pricing on the Server deployment page.
